Since much of my background is in the performing arts, much of my teaching work is in this field too. I teach a variety of courses that are suitable for inclusion in dance, theatre and performance art programmes at all levels. All the courses emphasis a somatic approach.
Below you'll also find a list of the courses which I offer and a comprehensive list of teaching that I have done in performing arts institutions in the last five years.
A study of how we choose to move and place ourselves in space as time passes using perceptual skills as the base. more...
Anatomy classes in which the emphasis is on feeling the shapes, textures and potential for movement of what's there rather than naming things. more...
Awareness Through Movement classes. more...
An improvised partner dance that both requires and develops a richly embodied state of mind. more...
The course aims to give students who are already concerned with movement in their other studies a thorough and rounded immersion into the world of somatics. It includes Feldenkrais, Experiential Anatomy, some perceptual exercises and time discussion. Especially suitable for inclusion in an optional course programme. more...
